The Chevrolet Camaro won’t be coming to any major auto shows in 2008

Chevrolet Camaro

According to KickingTires, the new Chevrolet Camaro, which everyone is talking about, won’t be on display at any majors auto shows, this year. Instead, the concept will be presented to smaller markets like Cleveland and Philadelphia. The official explanation is that there aren’t many pre-production cars built and that GM want the people in smaller markets to get a close look at the Camaro. However, it seems like the real reason is another. The folks over at Chevrolet fear that the Camaro will be overexposed, therefor, when it’s actually launched, the demand won’t be so high, because, though the car will be new, people will have the impression it’s actually old. And we have to say, it’s true.

On the other hand, this could also mean that the rumors about the Camaro project being canceled aren’t really only rumors. Though these are pure speculations so far, still, it’s something we have to take into consideration. But I really hope they’re not true, because the Camaro looks like it will be 2009’s sensation.
