More details on the lightweight Lamborghini Murcielago SV

We've been hearing rumors about the lightweight version of the Lamborghini Murcielago since May 2007 (and maybe even earlier). Recently more details of the Lamborghini Murcielago SV (or Superveloce) have popped up online.

Sources say that the special-edition Murcielago LP670-4 SV will produce 30-hp more than the base LP640 for a total of 661-hp. That should allow the car to sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 3.2 seconds with a top speed of 213 mph. The Murcielago SV will weigh about 220lbs less than the 3,663lbs standard car.

It will be built on an all-wheel-drive architecture with upgrades carbon ceramic brakes as standard. Appearance wise the Lamborghini Murcielago SV will be more aggressive looking than its sibling and will use a lot of carbon fiber body parts to drop the weight. Sources say look for matte-black finish on the outside and an interior mix of carbon fiber and alcantara

The Lamborghini Murcielago SV is expected to make its debut at the 2009 Geneva Motor Show in March.
