To enhance the highly successful Mazda RX-8, Mazda engineers focused on innovation in three key areas for the new Mazda RX-8: styling, performance and packaging. "The enhancements made to Mazda RX-8's exterior, interior, packaging and performance takes it to a whole new level of visual and driving excitement," remarked Nakazawa. STYLING INNOVATION - REFRESHED DESIGN CUES PROVIDE "HIGHQUALITY" DYNAMISM Mazda RX-8 was designed with an athletically sculpted exterior that provides a sense of originality that's unrivaled in the marketplace today. The new Mazda RX-8 receives design enhancements that are meant to freshen the styling and give Mazda RX-8 a new look, without impairing the basic design theme. Refinements for the new Mazda RX-8 include restyled front and rear bumpers and front fascia; sporty, high quality finish front and rear headlamps; and larger exhaust pipes (now measuring 90 mm across). The new Mazda RX-8 also offers a new five-spoke wheel design featuring a symbolic and sporty design reminiscent of the rotary engine, with different arrangements for each wheel size. Taut muscular lines give Mazda RX-8 the liberating look of an athlete in motion. The muscular styling maintains classic sports car proportions while adding a Zoom-Zoom edge that is unmistakably Mazda. The center IP shape was redesigned to give a feeling of dynamic movement, a variable red-zone was added to the tachometer that will rise as the engine comes to operating temperature and a new steering wheel and redesigned front and rear seats are also added. An extremely low cabin floor allows the seats to be mounted low in the chassis, which, along with a low instrument cluster and hood, allows a low center of gravity and allows outstanding occupant visibility. Mazda designers concentrated on the shape of the front seat backs and the rear seat cushions to ensure adequate rear-seat knee room. Front seat slide-rails are positioned to allow maximum leg room for rear-seat passengers. The rotary design element is incorporated through the interior of the Mazda RX-8 in creative ways, appearing in the seats. The stylish cabin also evokes a sense of luxury and high-end quality. Mazda's design team examined every aspect and component of the interior and has created an elegant, driver-centric atmosphere. Through the use of advanced ergonomic research, Mazda engineers determined that improper seating posture is a major cause of driver fatigue and built in optimum support in the front seats to help offset discomfort. PERFORMANCE INNOVATION - MORE SPORTS CAR DRIVING PLEASURE Through-and-through, the Mazda RX-8 is a pure sports car that gives the driver an exciting and dynamic experience. For the new Mazda RX-8, engineers improved body rigidity through the addition of structural reinforcements, by adding a trapezoidal strut tower bar and enhancing the local rigidity of the front suspension tower areas. By turning a triangular rotor in a cocoon-shaped combustion chamber, the Mazda RX-8's rotary engine efficiently performs the four processes of intake, compression, combustion and exhaust. The RENESIS engine is remarkably smooth and high revving — all the way to 9,000 rpm (7,500 rpm on Sport A/T-equipped models) — and offers a smaller engine footprint than traditional internal combustion engines (some 60 percent smaller and lighter than a comparably powered V-6, and 40 percent smaller and lighter than a four-cylinder). In fact, the packaging and styling that define the Mazda RX-8 would not have been possible had Mazda engineers chosen a conventional piston engine. Improving upon 40 years of rotary designs, the RENESIS engine features side intake and exhaust ports with nearly 30 percent more intake port and twice as much exhaust port than its predecessors. The efficiencies gained through shortening intake/exhaust overlapping period and using the larger intake and exhaust ports in delivering world-class performance. The Mazda RX-8's normally aspirated 1.3-liter engine might appear diminutive to the untrained eye when compared to large-displacement V-8s or heavyweight V-10s or V-12s. However, through the incredible efficiencies of a rotary powerplant, an advanced three-stage intake system and an electronic throttle, the RENESIS engine delivers smooth, linear power on a grand scale. The Mazda RX-8 uses an aluminum double-wishbone front suspension, reducing unsprung weight over the use of steel components. By mounting the upper and lower arms on a highly rigid sub-frame, the long arms ensure linear alignment changes throughout the jounce and rebound of the front wheels. All corners are fitted with mono-tube gas-filled shock absorbers designed with large-diameter internal pistons and valving, which offer excellent road feedback and a smooth ride. The electric motor provides additional assistance at low speeds to ease parking and reduces steering assistance at higher speeds to provide greater road feel, responsiveness and feedback. And, in keeping with the rest of the development on Mazda RX-8, it is far lighter and easier to package than a conventional power-steering rack. PACKIGING INNOVATIONS - ULTIMATE PERFORMANCE RX-8 R3 To cater to the driving-conscious enthusiast, the new Mazda RX-8 will offer a new R3 sport package. Providing the very best in rotary-powered motoring, the R3 harkens back to the R1 and R2 packages offered on the mighty third-generation Mazda RX-7, and adds a sport-tuned suspension with Bilstein shock absorbers and front suspension crossmembers filled with urethane foam. Filling the crossmembers makes for a smoother ride, minimized NVH and greater suspension control. SUPERIOR SAFETY When designing the Mazda RX-8, safety was given as much of a priority as was performance. For Mazda, the safety process incorporates both accident avoidance and accident protection. In effect, this approach to safety means the RX-8 can help the driver avoid various dangers and protect occupants in the unfortunate event of a collision. In rollover tests performed by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), the Mazda RX-8 achieved an impressive five-star rating. Mazda engineers integrated numerous active and passive safety elements throughout the car. Active safety features, which require input from the driver, include the use of large ABSequipped disc brakes on all wheels as well as precise steering and suspension systems. Dynamic Stability Control (available on Sport models with Performance package, standard on Touring and Grand Touring) delivers a superior level of handling that can be disabled when driving and road conditions allow safe operation. Despite the absence of a center B-pillar, the Mazda RX-8 has an exceptionally rigid body, accomplished through the use of the vertical pillars built in the rear doors and a series of locking pins, which hold the doors together and bind each door directly into the roof and floor. Mazda has enlisted the help of graphic design house Troy Lee Designs multiple times, but that was usually for its trucks and sport utes. But with the new Mazda6 on the way, the company went to the racing design house for a little work on its new sedan for the SEMA show. 2009 Mazda RX-8 R3

Slicing through traffic on West Palm Beach's Okeechobee Boulevard while trying to avoid the blue-haired seniors in their Avalons, as well as the landscape contractors in their F250 pickups, is a high-art form in Mazda's flagship RX-8 R3. Our deep blue example attracts almost no attention except for those glancing up when hearing the high-pitched squeal emanating from the dual chrome-tipped exhausts. Is the RX-8, successor to the RX-7, a car whose time has come and gone or is it still a viable alternative to the other players in this niche? We'll take a look and see how this man/child of a vehicle adds up. A differently executed four-door coupe with a pair of supplemental ("don't call them suicide") doors in the rear to allow temporary access to little people or contortionists, who don't mind the "knees in the chest style of seating." It is a novel approach that manages to move away from the two-seater format of the RX-7 model that preceded it. It's also a sports car with a not-too-shabby reputation for great handling. Competitors to the RX-8 include the BMW 128i, Nissan 350Z, Infiniti G37, and Mitsubishi Eclipse. If you squint hard enough, maybe you could squeeze in an Audi TT, too. Not a new breakthrough, but something that virtually no other car has: The Renesis rotary engine. Similar in type to the original rotary engine as seen in various RX-7 models, it is compact enough to sit back in the car to the point where Mazda engineers have been able to achieve a 50/50 weight distribution. That type of weight distribution equals great handling. Based on our time with the RX8, we'd have to agree. Weird. That's it in a nutshell. An aggressive stance, lent to it by large arched front fenders that appear rather pronounced from the side, but relatively subdued from the front. If Zoom-Zoom had a face, it's probably the one you see looking at the newly refreshed RX-8's front end. With the Xenon headlights mimicking eyes, and the main under bumper intake grille as the mouth, the face is nearly complete. From behind the front wheels, mild ground effects wrap the rocker panels. The RX8 is a long car; it bears a passing resemblance to a long wheelbase sports car, but the use of a blacked-out B-pillar helps to minimize that feature. Bulging rear fenders lead to the rear bumper where the fascia ties things all back together again. The RX-8's interior is all business to start with. The triangle shape of the rotary engine's rotor is carried over into the cockpit as the shape atop the short throw shift knob. Baseball stitching adds a red accent to the leather-covered steering wheel and e-brake handle. The addition of the R3 performance package brings several new features including Bluetooth, a nine-speaker Bose Surround System and a pair of Recaro seats with leather side bolsters. About that audio system: We wished the controls were more intuitive and easier to use than they turned out to be. While picking nits, let's discuss the Recaros. We have sat in many different variations of Recaro sport seats through the years. We have loved most of them. But the seats in this RX-8 R3 are not for the corn-fed, or those who are broad of back. The RX8 is gifted with a more powerful version of the Renesis engine than models sold prior to 2006. The 1.3-liter 2-rotor engine is sold in two versions contingent on which model and transmission you choose. Buy the RX-8 with an automatic tranny, and you'll get a Renesis with 212-horsepower. But when you opt for the RX-8 R3 with its standard six-speed, you are rewarded with 232-horsepower and 159 lb-ft of torque, which arrives at 5,500 rpm. All the better to push the 3084-pound RX-8 around with. The Renesis engine is a high-revver with a 9,000-rpm redline. The trouble is that it has a rather thin power band that doesn't realize its maximum horsepower output until nearly 8,500 rpm. As a result you end up running at a high rpm, making the "Fast and Furious" exhaust note that goes with putting your foot in it. The six-speed manual that gets you up to speed is one of the best that we've driven, and the single-plate clutch makes it all the easier to do so. Despite the high-revving nature of the RX-8, it is not really a speed demon of a sports car, and you may find yourself on the losing end of a stoplight drag smack down. Take it to the twisties to experience where and how the RX-8 really shines. With the 50/50 weight distribution and the double wishbones up front trailed by the multi-link suspension in the rear of the unibodied RX-8, this rotary rocket is one of the best at cutting the apex of a tight turn. Mazda has seen fit to tighten up the stiffness in the body by the addition of a strut tower brace on top and anti-sway bars down below. The rack and pinion steering with direct-drive electronic assist help the Mazda to track true through the turns and supply good feedback to the driver. Even more feedback can be had if you turn off the Dynamic Stability Control and Traction Control by its dashboard-mounted switch. Putting the RX8's power to the ground are R3-specific 19-inch forged alloys in a gunmetal metallic, which are covered with 225/40 R19s all around. With an EPA mileage rating of 16 mpg city and 22 mpg hwy, we would call the RX8 R3's mileage fairy average, an inherent downside to the rotary engine. You would like the most "British-handling" of all Japanese sports cars available on the market today. That, and a certain cache of owning a car that you won't see on every block in the neighborhood. In recent days, Japanese automakers have been releasing the details of concept cars to be unveiled at the upcoming 2007 Tokyo Motor Show (October 26 to November 11). Here is a roundup of some of the more fantastic designs.

(Toyota RiN)

Designed to promote harmony with nature and evoke a warm, fuzzy feeling inside, the eco-friendly Toyota RiN concept car features heated ergonomic seats, an oxygen level regulator, a spot humidifier, a “mood training” steering control system that monitors the driver’s psychological state, and greenish glass that protects against UV and infrared light while enhancing the natural beauty of the view outside. The exterior design was inspired by Japan’s old-growth Cryptomeria trees known as yakusugi, which are found on Yakushima island, a natural World Heritage Site known for its pristine, ancient forests.

(Toyota Hi-CT)
The Toyota Hi-CT, billed as a cool and fun next-generation urban assault vehicle, is built specifically for narrow city streets and features a hybrid engine you charge by plugging into a wall outlet. Batteries are stored under the floor for a more compact, upright design, and interior 100V AC outlets provide passengers a convenient way to power their portable electronic devices. The rear deck is big enough to haul bicycles and surfboards, or it can be outfitted with a detachable luggage trunk.

(Mazda Taiki)

The hyper-aerodynamic Mazda Taiki is the fourth vehicle in Mazda’s Nagare series of cars based on the concept of “flow.” Inspired by Japanese koinobori (decorative carp-shaped streamers), Taiki’s design is meant to visually express the flow of air (incidentally, taiki means “atmosphere” in Japanese). With outstanding environmental and driving performance, Taiki’s next-generation rotary engine and front-engine rear-drive layout may well figure into Mazda’s future sports cars designed to help achieve a more sustainable society.

(Honda PUYO)

The eco-friendly design of the Honda PUYO fuel-cell vehicle is meant to create a soft, friendly impression and entertain the occupants as well as the people around it. The “seamless soft box” design gives PUYO a spacious interior and the charm of a cute pet that begs to be touched. PUYO’s “gel body” made from soft materials is designed to enhance safety, while embedded headlights and other illumination shine through the soft, translucent skin in the hope of fostering a more tender relationship between human and machine.

(Nissan Pivo 2)

Like Nissan’s original Pivo, the electric-powered Pivo 2’s four individually-powered wheel units turn 90 degrees to move the car in any direction, while the 360-degree rotating cabin allows the driver to face forward at all times. Pivo 2’s most notable upgrade is the dashboard-mounted NEC Papero robotic agent who can carry on conversations and read facial expressions to monitor the driver’s condition. In addition to assisting with basic vehicle functions, Papero can help navigate streets and look for parking spaces, suggest where to stop for coffee if the driver looks sleepy, and lighten the mood by nodding and acting happy. (Daihatsu Mud Master-C)

Daihatsu worked with mountain bike star Raita Suzuki to design the Mud Master-C, a compact and lightweight transporter ideally suited for MTB support duty. The Mud Master-C features a tough body-on-frame construction, an innovative hub reduction system and 16-inch off-road tires that provide more than 37 cm (14.5 inches) of ground clearance, allowing it to venture deep into mountain bike territory. Three giant gull-wing doors make it a snap to load and unload cargo.

(Mitsubishi i MIEV Sport)

A pair of in-wheel motors drive the front two wheels of the eco-friendly Mitsubishi i MIEV Sport electric minicar, while another motor drives the rear wheels. The i MIEV Sport has a range of 200 kilometers (120 miles) and is powered by lithium ion batteries, with extra juice provided by auxiliary solar cells mounted on the roof, a generating fan mounted in the front grille, and a regenerative braking system that recovers energy as the car slows down. Further efficiency is achieved with power-saving LEDs and heat-absorbing window glass, and the interior features lots of bioplastic components.

(Suzuki X-HEAD)

The versatile Suzuki X-HEAD crossover utility vehicle is built for off-road adventure and city cruising, and can be outfitted with a variety of load-bed units suitable for different situations. The “Camper” unit can be attached to provide sleeping space for two adults, the “Fashion” unit allows for stylish urban mobility, and the “Rescue” unit is ideal for emergency rescue operations in extreme environments.

(Suzuki Sustainable Mobility (PIXY + SSC))

Suzuki’s Sustainable Mobility concept vehicle consists of two units — a low-speed personal transport pod called the “PIXY” and a minicar-based mobility unit called the “Suzuki Sharing Coach” (SSC). Ideal for short trips around town, the PIXY is designed to transport individuals along sidewalks and into buildings. The PIXY fits inside the SSC for longer trips, and a shared control system allows the driver to operate the SSC from inside the PIXY. The PIXY can also be coupled with a sports car unit called the SSF and a boat unit called the SSJ.

Mazda Taiki

The Mazda Taiki, revealed at the 40th Tokyo Motor Show in October 2007, culminated Mazda's theme for the show "Sustainable Zoom-Zoom – Mazda's showroom today and in the future." The Mazda Taiki sets a new ideal for the front-engine rear-drive sports car of the future and continues the evolution of the Nagare design theme, following in the footsteps of the Mazda Nagare, Mazda Ryuga, and Mazda Hakaze concept vehicles. The challenge to create "a design that visually expresses the flow of air" was inspired by the image of a pair of Hagoromo—the flowing robes that enable a celestial maiden to fly in Japanese legend—floating down from the sky. Inspired by Japanese koinobori—the decorative "climbing carp streamers"—the notion of creating an Air-tube became the concept word for the interior design. As the fourth in the series, Mazda Taiki further advances and refines the theme through a fusion of the Nagare (flow) design concept and real-world technologies, such as a next-generation rotary engine and enhanced aerodynamic performance. In developing the next-generation RENESIS, Mazda made a thoroughgoing revision of engine dimensions including the trochoid rotor housing, adopting a longer stroke and larger displacement of 1600cc (800cc x 2) aimed to raise thermal efficiency and boost torque at all engine speeds. By employing the Hydrogen RE design policy of a direct injection system and aluminium side housing, as well as various other measures, we are further promoting the rotary engine's merits of light weight and compact size.

 

Mazda Ryuga

Mazda's provocative Nagare (pronounced "nah-gah-reh") - Japanese for "flow" - concept car, revealed at the LA Auto Show, introduced a new surface language that evokes the emotion of motion in a stationary automobile. Evolving that idea further, Laurens van den Acker, Design Division General Manager for Hiroshima, Japan's Mazda Motor Corporation, revealeds the Ryuga (pronounced "ree-yoo-ga") - Japanese for "gracious flow" - concept, at this year's North American International Auto Show in Detroit. "Ryuga celebrates refined and controlled motion," van den Acker said. "Nagare is a dream or an emotion that's just beginning to take shape; Ryuga extends that idea by adding definition. "To draw this new surface language closer in time to a car Mazda will produce for sale, we've added interior and powertrain details that were purposely absent from Nagare," van den Acker continued. "In addition, large wheels placed at the far corners of Ryuga's exterior lend a highly stable, balanced stance. The aggressive wedge shape imparts motion even when this sports coupe is parked. Volumes that are small in front, larger at the rear, wrap around and over the wheels to give the exterior tension and direction. "After we began studying natural phenomenon for inspiration, Mazda designers were initially hesitant to apply their findings, but I encouraged them to blend artistic and sculptural beauty to see where it led. Once we did, the results were both original and instantly appealing. "While this initiative began with textures inspired by nature, it goes much deeper than that. We're looking at grand gestures that wrap all over the vehicle's exterior and throughout the interior. Some of the proportions are dramatically wind-swept. There's drama at every turn. There are no square corners."

 

Mazda Nagare

After presenting three ground-breaking concept vehicles during the 2005-2006 global auto show season – Sassou, Senku and the Kabura, which won Detroit Motor Show's esteemed Aesthetics and Innovation Award at the 2006 North American International Auto Show – the 2007-2008 Auto Show Season continues to keep energy levels brimming with the introduction of Mazda's design and surface language for future Zoom-Zoom vehicles. The new surface language called Nagare (pronounced "na-ga-reh") was revealed at this year's Greater Los Angeles International Auto Show and is the first of a series of design concepts that Mazda will showcase this global auto show season, including Los Angeles, Detroit, Geneva and Tokyo. Under the direction of Mazda's new global design director, Laurens van den Acker, the challenge given to the team was to invent a novel means of registering motion in vehicles whether they're moving or still. Nagare, which means flow in Japanese, achieves that goal while also signaling a fresh design direction for future Mazda vehicles. Franz von Holzhausen, Mazda North American Operations' (MNAO) Director of Design, and the man responsible for leading the US-based design team, which developed this vehicle, explains, "We're looking well down the road with Nagare. We want to suggest where Mazda design will be in 2020. To do that, we redefined basic proportions and the idea of driving without losing the emotional involvement. Mazda3 2010 Revealed

Hot on the heels of our latest 2010 Mazda3 spy photos, the Japanese automaker today released the first official images of the redesigned sedan. The car will be revealed at the Los Angeles Auto Show next month, Mazda said. Mazda revealed it's new latest car. let me show you, the new Mazda3 showcases the new styling direction that will eventually spread to the entire Mazda lineup, Laurens van den Acker, Mazda's design chief, said recently. The new Mazda6 arguably kicked off this design language. The new Mazda3 will ride on the next-generation global Ford Focus C1 platform and is expected to be longer and wider than the current model. Under the hood, Mazda's MZR line of motors will get a bump in power and further tweaking for fuel savings. The current 2.3-liter motor to be bored out to around 2.5 liters. That should give it a 20-30hp bump from the current 156 hp rating. The 2.0-liter base motor probably won't see an in displacement, but a 10 to 15 horsepower increase is likely. This all new sport compact was originally due to go on sale sometime in the last half of 2009, but will now hit showrooms in the summer of 2009 as a 2010 model year car. Source:Leftlanenews

 

2010 Ford Taurus

Ford Taurus is America's version sure get a lot of attention worldwide.Not to forget this 2010 Ford Taurus will be features in the incoming NAIA (North American International Auto Show) at Detroit early next year as the latest car production to be announce during that prestige auto show with all the coolest super car around the world. The Ford Taurus is America's version of the Mondeo and judging by these latest shots caught recently by our spies, the all-new 2010 model will get some styling cues from it's European counterpart – albeit slightly toned down. Front wheel drive will continue to be offered and there will also be an all-wheel-drive option as well, but it is still not official which platform is hiding beneath this prototype. One of the possibility is the Volvo D-platform currently used by the S40or alternatively it could be the Mazda CD3 platform which currently underpins all new Mada6.The 2010 Taurus will be powered by Ford's new EcoBoost engines, with an EcoBoost SHO to top off the line.

 

Audi A4

Driving
Dynamically, the latest A4 is a revelation. It’s been transformed over older models, and seems so much more grown up. It has better body control than any of its rivals and feels sure-footed in corners. The steering is sharp and the turn-in positive, and while it isn’t as dynamic as a 3-Series, it’s far more composed than a Mercedes. The Audi strikes a good balance when it comes to ride quality, too. It’s firm but not harsh, and excellent damping means the A4 is taut without being unforgiving. The most popular engine is likely to be the 2.0-litre TDI, and it too has an impressive range of abilities. Power arrives quickly, is delivered smoothly and it’s also quiet and refined, too. Other engines include an impressive 1.8-litre turbo petrol, plus V6 diesel and petrol powerplants.

Marketplace
The newcomer has a distinctively sporting appearance, but it’s still unmistakable – not just as an Audi, but as an A4. The saloon shares front-end styling with the A5 Coupe, and its sharp lines have a taut, strong look. An Avant estate sits alongside it in the line-up. Natural rivals are the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class; these German models dominate the compact executive saloon sector, but rejuvenated ‘mainstream’ machinery such as the Ford Mondeo and Mazda 6 will also claim to be good-value alternatives. There are two A4 trims, SE and S-line, offered with a quickly expanding line of engines.

Owning
The sense of luxury and attention to detail continues inside; it’s similar to Audi’s top-of-the-range A8 limo. The layout, quality and feel of the cabin, which features the same dash as the A5, is smarter than any rival’s. If we were being critical, the plastic panel on the dash-mounted CD changer is a bit shiny, although it only stands out because everything else is so impressive. An electronic parking brake and Multi Media Interface screen, first seen in the A6 and A8, are fitted as standard. Ergonomically, it’s superb, and there’s lots of steering wheel and seat adjustment, plus ample stowage space. Combine this with more rear legroom than any rival bar the Ford Mondeo, and the interior is a winner. It’s even economical to run. List prices undercut a 3-Series, insurance ratings are competitive, retained values are impressive and fuel economy strong (although the exceptional BMW beats it on this score). Source

New Mazdas at double

It's not only Mitsubishi and Subaru which are expanding their sports car ranges... Mazda is, too. Confirming our story back in Issue 960, the company is targeting Vauxhall’s forthcoming Insignia VXR and even the BMW M3 with a Mazda Performance Series (MPS) version of its popular 6. And as you can see from our picture of the hatchback, the MPS will be a head-turner, with new spoilers, large air intakes, lowered side skirts and bigger alloy wheels. It’s believed that the model will use a turbocharged version of the 6’s all-new 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine, pumping out around 280bhp, so it will have the punch to back up the looks.

Like the previous-generation 6 MPS, there will be four-wheel drive, stiffened and lowered suspension and uprated brakes. The car will cover 0-60mph in six seconds, with a top speed limited to 155mph. Mazda is expected to take the wraps off a concept version at October’s Paris Motor Show, where bosses will gauge public reaction. The production model should arrive in 2010. However, unlike its predecessor, which was available only as a saloon, the firm has plans for estate, coupé and cabriolet MPS variants, as well as the hatch.
And Mazda is also readying a hot hatch version of the 2 supermini. Complete with a sporty bodykit, the 2 MPS (in red) goes on sale in late 2009. There’s no word yet on what engine it will have, but it’s thought to be a turbo variation on the existing 1.5-litre petrol with more than 170bhp. Factor in sporty suspension, and it’s a real rival for the Vauxhall Corsa VXR

5. Nissan Altima Hybrid: 35 City/33 Hwy, Base Price: $25,170. 2.5-liter, 4-cylinder gas engine with 158 horsepower. A midsize sedan made for the Nissan lovers; a bit sportier than most hybrids.

6. Toyota Camry Hybrid: 33 City/34 Hwy, Base Price: $25,350. 2.4-liter, 4-cylinder with 192-horsepower, reaching 0-60 in 8.9 secs. If you love the original Camry, then you should try the Camry Hybrid because it has better fuel economy and it can be a big saver after a few years.

This is probably the most fuel efficient car because natural gasoline costs less than $1.00 a gallon. However, this isn’t on the top 10 list because it is currently only available in NY and CA and it is very limited. You probably won’t find a natural gas pump at your regular gas station, that is why Honda sells an at home pump you can plug into your home’s natural gas line. A full tank (8 gallons) can travels approximately 170 miles and fueling stations are very limited; make sure to plan your trip correctly if you own a Civic GX.
