GM sues 2010 Chevy Camaro supplier
It's not as if the Chevrolet Camaro took long enough to go from concept form to production - there may now be another obstruction for the Camaro which is scheduled to go into production in February. GM has filed a lawsuit against a bankrupt auto-parts supplier saying that it is holding necessary equipment which could interrupt the launch of the 2010 Chevrolet Camaro. Filed Wednesday in U.S. Bankruptcy Court in Delaware, GM has asked the court to allow it access to the facilities of the supplier, Cadence Innovation. The General said it wants to go in and take the necessary tooling and parts for its plants. Cadence filed for bankruptcy protection in August. It originally had plans to sell itself but is now liquidating. The supplier makes door trim, instrument panels and air bag covers. GM said it will need to have another supplier in place by Jan. 12 to have the Camaro stay on schedule. Source: CNNMoney |
